If you LOVE Brunch or Bacon, This Millionaire's Bacon is a MUST TRY!
What is Millionaire's Bacon? Millionaire's Bacon is a sweet candied bacon that has the perfect sweet and savory combo with a slight hint of heat. This bacon makes for the perfect brunch side or even snack.
Where did Millionaire's Bacon Originate?
Before having kids, my Husband and I would venture around the Bay Area weekly checking out new brunch spots and trying new food. On one of our food adventures we discovered Millionaire's Bacon at San Francisco's Sweet Maple restaurant. Ever since, I have set out on a journey to recreate it, and this recipe sure does hit the spot. I have also heard it referred to as Million Dollar Bacon.
What Kind of Bacon should I use to make Millionaire's Bacon?
For the best Millionaire's Bacon, use the thickest cut of bacon you can find. The thickest cuts can be found at your local market at the meat counter. I usually grab my thick cut bacon on sale at Costco, or even Safeway. The thinner cuts also work if that is what you have on hand but the cooking time is shorter and please monitor for burning.

Tips to Achieve the Tastiest Millionaire's Bacon
- Cover the bacon fully with the glaze mixture
- Use the thickest cut of bacon available
- Allow the bacon 5-10 minutes to cool down so the glaze sticks to the bacon
- If using the oven, cook the bacon on a cooling rack so the fats can drain and the bacon can crisp up
How long can I store Millionaire's Bacon?
This bacon can stay fresh for 3-4 days in the fridge, and you can reheat in the air fryer or oven before serving.

Oven cooking instructions (35 min @375F) burned the bacon, so I'm trying 20 min @ 350 next time

Hi Jonathan, I am so sorry about that, I will retest this recipe and post the revised temperatures. Can you please advise if you were using thick cut bacon? Thanks so much!
