While I do love a nice avocado toast, on some days I just wake up and I want something super hearty that warms my soul.
This sausage biscuits and gravy is my GO-TO breakfast on those days. used to feel guilty ordering biscuits and gravy at restaurants because I thought the gravy was loaded with butter, but its not! Sausage biscuits and gravy is made with milk, and no additional added fats. I usually use a whole milk for the richness, but I have used 2% milk and I did not notice a huge difference in the taste. Whatever milk you feel comfortable with, feel free to use it.
Not only is this Sausage biscuits and gravy recipe easy, it comes together in JUST 20 MINUTES!
I usually preheat the oven for the biscuits and get my morning coffee ready. By the time I've laid out the biscuits on a baking pan, and preheated the pan for the gravy, the oven is ready. Pop the biscuits in the oven, and the sausage biscuits and gravy will be done even before the biscuits. This will be your favorite sausage gravy and biscuits recipe on repeat!

Ingredients
- 14-16 oz Sausage (Pork or Turkey)
- 1 pack Biscuits ( 8 in a roll)
- ¼ cup Flour
- 3 cups Milk
- 1 tsp Seasoned Salt
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- ½ teaspoon Garlic Salt
- ½-1 tsp Black Pepper
Instructions
- 1. Preheat oven and bake biscuits according to package
- 2. Heat skillet to medium and add in sausage. Break up the sausage into crumbles.
- 3. Once the sausage is almost cooked, add in ¼ cup of flour and mix well into the sausage.
- 4. Once the flour is incorporated into the sausage, slowly start adding the milk, 1 cup at a time. Let the gravy thicken before adding the next cup of milk.
- 5. Once all the milk is added, season the gravy with 1 teaspoon seasoned salt, 1 teaspoon onion powder and ½tsp-1tsp black pepper
- 6. Let the gravy simmer another 2-3 minutes and turn off the heat. The gravy will thicken slightly once it starts to cool. If you would like a thinner gravy, add milk 1 tablespoon at time until the consistency is achieved.
- 7. Enjoy!
