This Sticky Honey Soy Pork Belly Bites recipe is so flavorful and easy to make. This recipe makes for a PERFECT weeknight dinner!
If you've tried any of my Air Fryer Pork Belly recipes before, You know how easy and addicting pork belly is to make. These sticky and savory Honey Soy Pork Belly bites recipe only 5 minutes prep and cooks in just 15-20 minutes in the Air Fryer! Yes I am serious!
Using Pre sliced Pork Belly Makes This Recipe Even EASIER!
I usually buy pre sliced pork belly that has the skin removed to make this meal easier and faster to prepare. This weekend at Costco, I found pre sliced pork belly at $3.99/lb! Usually the pork belly is around $4.99/lb so of course I was super excited.

Every Air Fryer is Different.
I have 3 Air fryers, and my newest one that is featured in this recipe is a BEAST. (Click on the pictures below to view the details) This pork belly bites recipe may cook in as little as 12-15 minutes depending on your air fryer. For your first time making this recipe, I recommend cooking at 375, and turning it up to 385-400 for the last few minutes to char the bites. I would recommend at the 10 and 15 minute mark to always check on the progress of your pork belly for doneness.

Do I need to use pork belly with the skin removed to make Honey Soy Pork Belly?
Most Asian markets that carry pork belly can help you remove the skin from the pork belly and slice into 1" thick strips, or cubes. Since 15-20 minutes is a shorter cooking time, it is not enough time to crisp up or soften the skin, so removing the skin is recommended.
Picking the right pork belly slab for Honey Soy Pork Belly:
Since this a quick cook pork belly recipe, the best type of slab to use for this recipe is a slab that is on the leaner side. Look for a slab that has at least 60/40 meat to fat ratio, try to find one that does not have more fat than meat. If a fattier slab is used, there will be more fat to chew through since the cook time does not allow all the fat to render off and break down. While it will still be tasty, it might be a little heavy to eat.

- 2.5 tbsp Soy Sauce - Low Sodium
- 1.5 tsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp Oyster sauce
- ½ tbsp Dark Soy Sauce
- 1.5 tsp Onion Powder
- 1.5 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tbsp Honey
- 1 tbsp Honey to add to reserved marinade for basting

- 2. Slice pork belly into 1" strips. For best marinade absorption, poke holes with a fork or meat tenderizer on 2 sides of the meat
- 3. Cut Pork belly into 1" cubes.
- Into a mixing bowl, combine pork with half the marinade sauce. Reserve the other half for basting (4 tbsp). For best results, cover and refrigerate overnight, but marinate at least 10 minutes before cooking. If just marinating 10 minutes, be very generous with the marinade when basting.

- 4. Add pork belly into the air fryer at 380F and set cook time for 15 minutes
- 5. To the reserved marinade saved for basting, add 1 tablespoon of Honey
- 6. After 5 minutes, baste with the marinade sauce
- 7. After another 5 minutes, at the 10 minute mark, flip the pork and baste with the marinade sauce. Check the internal temp.
- 8. I like my pork to be cooked at about 145F internal temp so I cook about 12-15 minutes.
- 9. Baste one more time after another 5 minutes at the 15 minute mark if you like a more cooked pork and check internal temp. If pork belly bites are done (145-160F) at this time you can still baste one last time and let the air fryer cook for about one more minute.
- 10. Medium Rare: 145-150 F (63-66 C) Medium: 150-155 F (66-68 C) Medium Well: 155-160 F (68-71 C) Well Done: 160 F (71C)

- 11. If your belly bites need more time, at the 20 minute mark your pork belly should be done.
- 12. If you are using an oven and there is not enough char you can move the pork up to a higher rack for the last 5-10 minutes of cooking, or of there is too much char you can turn down the oven to 350 to finish cooking.
- 13. When the temp reaches 145-160 you're done ! *Pork is safe to eat at 145, but cook to your preference*
- 14. Enjoy!
