This Vietnamese Peanut Sauce for Spring Rolls is so flavorful and easy to make.
The savory and slightly sweet flavors of this peanut dipping sauce pair perfectly with fresh Vietnamese Spring rolls.
Do I have to use stock for the Peanut Dipping Sauce?
I love using the stock from the cooked pork and shrimp to enhance the flavors of the peanut dipping sauce, but it is totally optional. Warm water is a great substitute as well for this spring roll sauce.

- ½ tbsp Fish Sauce
- ¼ Tbsp Rice Vinegar
- ¼ Tbsp Sesame Oil
- ½ cup Stock from Cooked Pork and Shrimp or warm water
- 1 tbsp Crushed Peanuts (garnish)
- Thai Chilis or Chili Sauce (Optional)
Instructions
- Into a bowl combine : ⅓ cup Smooth Peanut Butter, 3.5 tbsp Hoisin Sauce, ½ tbsp Fish Sauce, ¼ Tbsp Rice Vinegar, and ¼ Tbsp Sesame Oil

This recipe looks incredible! I’ve been searching for an alternative to the ones I’ve tried on Pinterest, and I have a feeling this will be a hit. Quick question: how long does this sauce last in the fridge?
TheSavoryChopstick Recipes says
Hi Tagan! If you are using the stock from the pork belly and shrimp I would try to use it within 3 days, and if you’re using just water I’d recommend using it within 5 days. I hope you give this a try and let me know!
