Smack Sauce - Addictive Spicy Mien Pepper Sauce
A Classic Mien Pepper Sauce

- 5 cloves Garlic
- Thai Chilis ( I used 6)
- 1 teaspoon Tamarind Soup Mix
- 1 tablespoon Fish Sauce
- 2 tablespoon Water
- 1 handful Cilantro (about 15 stems)

Instructions
Blender and Food Processor Instructions
- Add
5 cloves of garlic, Thai chili (if using), 1 teaspoon tamarind soup mix, 1 tablespoon fish sauce and2 tablespoon water to blender or food processor and blend just for a few seconds. - Add 1 small handful of cilantro (about 15 sprigs) and blend for 1 second until the cilantro is just combined . Be careful not to blend into a liquid. For larger batches, I recommend roughly cutting up the cilantro before combining.
Mortar instructions
- Add 5 cloves of garlic, Thai chili (if using), and 1 teaspoon tamarind soup mix and use the pestle to form a paste
- Chop up about 1 small handful of cilantro (about 15 sprigs) and add the mortar. Pound until combined.
- Lastly, add the liquids. Add 1 tablespoon fish sauce, and 2 tablespoon of water. You can add more or less until the desired consistency is reached
