Easy Kalua Pork in a Pressure Cooker

Instructions

Heat up pressure cooker to high. Once it is heated up add 2 tablespoon of oil.
2 tablespoon oil
Add in the pork and sear 3-4 minutes on each side until browned
3-4 lbs Pork Butt (Bone in or Boneless)
Remove the pork and add in the water, Make sure to scrape the bits off the bottom so the pressure cooker does not have the dreaded "BURN" error code.
1 cup water
Put the Banana leaf into the pot (If using). Add the pork back in and season with Salt or Hawaiian Sea Salt, and Liquid Smoke. Cook on high pressure for 90 minutes and 20 minutes NPR (Natural Pressure Release)
1 tablespoon Salt or Hawaiian Sea Salt, 1 tablespoon Liquid Smoke, 1 Banana Leaf (optional)
Remove the pork into a large serving dish to shred, and add cut cabbage if using. Pour on some of the extra juices from cooking for a nice moist flavorful Kalua Pork.
