Instructions
**If you have a large pan with a lid, these work the best.
Prepare your wings but cutting into wings and drums if not separated yet. Pat dry wings so they do not splatter in the oil.
Heat your pan to medium high, add oil and brown the chicken wings on both sides, about 2-3 minutes. If the wings can not all lay flat in the pan to brown up, brown in batches, and add the wings back in once the batch is all browned.
Turn your pan to medium, and add the seasonings to the pot:
1 can Coke or Pepsi (Can not be Diet), 1 tablespoon Cooking Wine, 1 tablespoon Fish Sauce, 2 tablespoon Light Soy Sauce, .5 tablespoon Dark Soy Sauce, 2 slices Ginger, 5 cloves Garlic, 1 Star Anise (Optional), 3 Dried Red Chilis (Optional)
Simmer on medium for 15 minutes with the lid on.
After 15 minutes, turn the heat to medium high/high so the sauce can reduce and thicken. **The sauce will continue to thicken a bit more as it cools**
Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions if using.
